It's not about Innies vs. Outies!

I sincerely hope McCain is mistaken in thinking people will vote for the McCain/Palin ticket simply because she is a woman! Anyone who does is in my not so humble opinion not using their noggin! This election is about SO much more than that. This is not a simple case of men vs. women. This is about very divergent views about how to deal with a whole host of serious, serious issues; Abortion, Oil drilling, Climate change, Environmental policy, Education, Health Care...not to mention the incredibly complex international politics of the current world scene.

So votes MUST be cast based on the hearts and heads of the candidates, not on their genitalia!

It's About Time!

It's about time! It's about time we paid attention! It's about time that issues like child and adult education, health care access, equality of opportunity and the speaking of truths got center stage. I have been really, deeply impressed by the voices I have heard at the Democratic National Convention. It's about time we started doing things right! Oh excuse me...I mean LEFT! ;)

Poop Happens

So my husband took our four-year old to the park after work today. I stayed home with the little one and tried to finish up an email. After a minute I realized it was way too quiet and went to see what he was up too. I found him right around the corner in the front hall sitting on the welcome mat, happily squishing poo with both hands. He has had a rash and so I have been giving him lots of naked-butt time, which he obviously put to good use! Ahh the lovely joys of parenting...

Here it is! My blog about pregnancy, delivery, parenting, products, books, and general Mama thoughts! I have two young boys ages 15 months and 4 years, and I work part time as an RN in a busy labor and delivery unit. I am excited to start this new project!
